Building Capacities in Burkina Faso From Sep 18th to Sep 21th 2023
The « How to Export with the AfCFTA Training Programme » is developed and implemented by the International Trade Centre in partnership with the African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIMBANK), and it is dedicated African enterprises that aims to improve their competitiveness in order to meet the demand and expectations of the African consumers. Enterprises, both large and small are the drivers of economic growth in Africa and will play a significant role in the building of the continent’s structural transformation. The ultimate objective of this training is to support the operationalization of the AfCFTA with African enterprises fully equipped to benefit and take advantage of the new market opportunities.
In the framework of this project,Our Senior Consultant Mr Ilyas Choubaili has trained both trainers representatives of local partner institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises in Ougadougou from Sep 18th To Sep 21th 2023 , focusing on aspects related to exporting processes and procedures, along with highlighting the opportunities presented by the AfCFTA.
The AfCFTA is the world’s largest free trade area bringing together the 55 countries of the African Union (AU) and eight (8) Regional Economic Communities (RECs). The overall mandate of the AfCFTA is to create a single continental market with a population of about 1.3 billion people and a combined GDP of approximately US$ 3.4 trillion
Burkina faso is a landlocked country witch means depending mainly on Ivory cost Togo, and ghana Port Logistics infrastructure when exporting or importing cargo from outside Burkina therefore high cost to be added in consideration.
