SME support
Strategy from formulation through to implementation, for companies that have outgrown the way they were built.
There is a particular moment in a company’s life when the thing that made it successful becomes the thing holding it back. The founder is still the bottleneck for every decision. The structure was designed for a business a third of the size. Growth is real, but the margin is drifting and nobody can say precisely why.
That moment is what this practice exists for.
Who this is for
- SMEs and mid-sized companies at a strategic turning point
- Businesses that have grown faster than their organisation
- Companies preparing to export, to restructure, or to take on external financing
- Cooperatives and family businesses moving to a more formal operating model
What we do
Strategic diagnosis. Before any recommendation, an evidence-based read of where the business actually is — commercially, operationally and organisationally. Frequently this includes a marketing and logistics diagnostic, because in trading and industrial businesses that is where the margin usually leaks.
Strategy formulation. A defensible direction with the reasoning left visible, so the leadership team can defend it internally after we have gone. Not a deck of options — a recommendation.
Organisational restructuring. Structure, roles, decision rights, and the operating rhythm that holds them together. This is the part most strategy work skips and most implementations fail on.
Implementation support. We stay through the part where it gets difficult. A strategy handed over at the recommendation stage has roughly the same value as no strategy.
Export strategy. Where growth runs through a new market, this connects directly to our trade facilitation practice.
How an engagement runs
Diagnosis first, scoped and time-boxed. Then a decision point where you can stop — we would rather lose the implementation mandate than sell one that is not needed. Then implementation, with agreed checkpoints and a defined end.
We work with the team you have. Recommendations that depend on hiring people you cannot afford are not recommendations.
We called on M&2N CONSULTING when HYPROCOL reached a strategic turning point and the organisation needed restructuring around a new long-term strategy. We were looking for a dependable, effective outcome, and M&2N delivered it. What convinced us to choose them was the tailored offer, the professionalism and the command of their craft. For our part, our satisfaction is the result.

Most engagements start with a problem that does not yet have a clean name. You do not need a brief, a budget or a defined scope to begin the conversation.
